The cinema Auditorium has theatre-style raked seating, upholstered in smart red fabric and is very comfortable. The cinema has a big screen and immersive Dolby surround sound.
The programme of a variety of films each month, across around 20 screenings sits alongside the other activities of the venue, and has proved increasingly popular with the local audience. The provision of films is not far behind the mainstream cinemas, being on what is known as “second release” which is a couple of weeks after main releases, so we manage to keep an up-to-date programme alongside showings of world cinema and art house films.
Our friendly staff are always ready to help and our customers are welcome to take their drinks into the cinema along with a range of snacks sold in the bar.
A brand new monthly matinee social for silver screeners
Your local big screen experience
We are excited to announce The Old Courters, a brand new monthly matinee cinema experience for a more senior audience.
Brought to you through the generous support of The Pargiter Trust via Berkshire Community Foundation and The Louis Baylis Charitable Trust, for one Wednesday a month we will be screening a matinee of a classic film. It’s a great chance for a friendly and sociable meet-up – and an opportunity to enjoy a film together.
Join us in our Bar area for tea, coffee, biscuits and a delicious cake of the day. We have chosen the first two films, but we will be welcoming suggestions for the films YOU want to see on the big screen. And best of all, it’s just £5 including refreshments and a dedicated member of staff available to assist at all times!
