Accessibility

The Old Court Access Statement.

We are committed to making The Old Court a fully accessible venue. We are working to enable everyone to experience our program of Arts, and accommodate all needs to the best of our ability. Although we have to work with the constraints of our historic listed building, we are looking at finding ways to remove barriers through creative thinking. All of our customers are welcome to contribute ideas and feedback, the aim of which, is to respond and make things better.

Entering the building and moving around.

The main front door has three steps up to enter. On this level is the Gallery, the Auditorium, the Accessible toilet and the lift to access the Basement space. For wheelchair users there is a ramp to this level at the back of the building. There is a doorbell at the bottom of the ramp to call a member of staff to open doors and assist if required. Inside the building the gallery leads to the Bar via three steps down with a hand rail. The Bar’s outside courtyard area, at the front of the building, has been installed with swinging double gates and a doorbell to allow access into our bar area via the Firestation doors.

Please contact us prior to your visit to if you would like to plan with us to make your visit an enjoyable experience.
